Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Primer promotes bond to top coat paints for durability and serve prevention from chipping, cracking and peeling. This ultra-cover primer can be used on wood, metal, plastic and more. This aerosol spray provide a sound base application for painters touch acrylic spray paint. It is possible to paint 10-12 square feet of area with one cane and its dry time is 20 minutes (to touch) which makes it economical.

NOTE: It is not allowed to send this item through air mode. Surface mode is enabled for the same. Thus, shipping will be done through surface.

How to Use Painters Touch Acrylic Primer Spray?

Appropriate Conditions to Spray

Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open garage. Apply when temperature is between 50-90°F (10- 32°C) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C). Do not apply aerosol primers to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.

Prepare The Surface And Get Best Results

All Surface: Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to fully dry. All surfaces must be dry at time of application.

Steel: Scrape and wire brush or power tool clean to remove loose rust, scale and deteriorated previous coatings.

Already Coated Surface: Previously coated surfaces must be sound and in good condition. Smooth, hard, or glossy finishes should be scarified by sanding to create a surface profile. The Painter’s Touch Acrylic Primer are compatible with most coatings, but a test patch is suggested.

Spraying/Application

Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can upright 10-16″ from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface. Keep the can in motion while spraying. Apply two or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. Do not use near open flame.
