Are you looking for wood floor polish or refinishing kit? Varathane Wood Refresher is designed to rejuvenate and refresh wood floors that have lost their luster, appear faded, or exhibit signs of wear. This product applies a clear protective coating to solid wood floors previously treated with polyurethane, shellac, or lacquer finishes. Additionally, it is suitable for use on laminate floors, provided they have been initially treated with Varathane No Sanding Refinishing Prep.
Surface Preparation: Before using our wood floor polish, ensure the surface is free of loose dirt or dust by wiping it with a damp rag. Although the refresher is compatible with various previously finished surfaces, it does not work with wax. To test for wax, dampen a rag with mineral spirits and wipe the surface. If the rag picks up a waxy residue, the surface contains wax. To eliminate the wax, dampen a rag with mineral spirits and wipe the surface until it’s thoroughly clean.
Application: Work methodically in small sections, typically 4×4 feet in size. Using a painting pad or foam-style mop, apply the Wood Refresher in a Z pattern. Ensure even distribution by spreading it in the direction of the grain. Continue this process, section by section, until the entire floor is covered.
After Application: After application, let the wood floor refinishing kit dry for 2-4 hours before considering a second coat. For laminate floors, it’s crucial to prep with Varathane No Sanding Refinishing Prep before applying the Wood Refresher.
Clean-up: Clean application tools and equipment thoroughly using soap and water. Dispose of any contaminated absorbent materials, containers, and unused contents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
